Seasons
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
Seasons of Life
What’s your favorite season? Is it Summer because you are looking forward to Summer vacations? Perhaps, your favorite season is Winter because you love to watch football or wear boots (that’s me). Regardless of your favorite season, every year, we must be patient until we reach our favorite season of the year.
With every season, we observe changes that accompany that season. For example, as we closely approach Fall, we can expect to see the leaves change colors, cooler temperatures, and boots (again, that’s for me). Sometimes, it feels like an early Fall which means we experience seasonal changes sooner rather than later. At other times, it feels like a late Fall and we seem to notice these changes later. Nevertheless, the seasons eventually come and go according to time.
We also experience seasons of life. Instead of Summer, Spring, Winter, and Fall, we may experience seasons of challenges, growth, delays, missed opportunities, and more. However, the good news is that these will come and go, same as calendar seasons. So, what do we do during seasons of life? We adapt to the seasonal climate and cling to the promise of a new season according to time.
Here’s a few tips to help make it to your next season:
In every thing, give thanks. It could always be worse.
Be optimistic. Envision brighter days.
Become a student. Learn a life lesson from the season.
Laugh. A merry heart is like medicine.
Laugh some more. Louder than before.
